Creator of the first game Participates in Rio Game Show

The German Ralph Baer, 87, is attracting international Rio Game Show (RGS), video-conference to be held on November 28 during the first day of the fair. With one hour, the engineer will answer questions from the public, with the help of a translator, about her experience, market, and forecasts for the future of games. In addition to the monitor attached to the auditorium, the lecture will be broadcast live in the main hall of the event, the Convention Center SulAm�rica, in Rio de Janeiro.

Between 28 and 29, the RGS will house booths and launch activities such as Arena 3D Vision by NVIDIA, executive speeches and developers of Rio League Winning Eleven arena with arcades and simulators. It is expected to bring 6 thousand people during the two days.

During the fair, visitors can experience the autorama assembled by Seven, the largest in Brazil, with up to eight contestants, complete with narrator and the awards podium, having fun in the arena free-play and give the space MMORPG with the best of games online. Highlights also include the exhibition The history of video games that features a timeline with rare and classic consoles.

A large stage will be assembled by Level Up! to the Beatles Rock Band game, where players, band members who obtain the highest score will be awarded product line Leadership Gamer. The stage will still be local sweepstakes and contest Cosplay (comes from English, Costume Player, which are the characterizations by fans of characters from games, movies, series, etc.). To relax, gamers will be available for massage therapy sessions using the game Perfect Massage for Xbox 360. Models featured characters from games to distribute gifts such as magazines and games for mobile.

According to research by Abragames, the association that brings together manufacturers of games, the national market moves more than $ 87 million per year and should grow in the coming months, with Christmas around the corner.

Who is Ralph Baer:

German engineer, born in 1922, moved to the United States in 1938, where he worked as manager of radio services. Between the years 1943 to 1946, Baer served the Army, serving in the Military Intelligence and soon after worked as an engineer. In 1969, created the Brown Box, a device that gave rise to the Magnavox Odyssey, the first video game console released commercially in 1972.
